Toradora Episode 5

This will be my review of Toradora Episode 5, thankfully CoalGuy subs got this in pretty quickly. Some people say the anime is going a bit fast-paced.

Maybe, just maybe. To me it seems just fine, even though they skipped a bit on most parts. If you haven't watched Toradora Episode 5 yet, I suggest not to read this post for the safety of yourself.

This one started out interesting with pretty much Ryuuji asking Taiga about going to Johnny's to go see Minori. Though, that plan backfired when she was not there working that day, causing him to go into massive orz.

A little bit later, this episode introduces the new character, Ami Kawashima.

Good God, how did you manage to get her as a childhood friend?

Of course, despite her cute looks and so-called air-headed personality. Her true nature was shortly revealed after Kitamura and Ryuuji head off to the bathroom, when they really weren't. She's basically a bitch. Nothing else needed to describe, even though she's a model. One slap from Taiga ended it all with them leaving the family restaraunt.

Shortly thereafter...

Gasp.

WHAT.

oh hai.

I think those three images sum up what happened in the next few scenes.

Taiga's hand burns with an intense anger.
She's going to fuck your day up.

A series of funny note passing ensues thereafter. Kitamura planned to have Ami come to their school to show her true nature to others, so she wouldn't have to hide her true self anymore. And she would accept that if people hated her for it. Or so he says.

She'll always be watching, waiting, right behind you Ami. = =+

After that scene, Ami says a few lies about Kitamura hating her causing her to set herself in her apartment and go emo. Ryuuji clears up what Ami said since it was a lie. Ryuuji's mother complained about no sauce for the food he cooked earlier, which was pork cutlets.

During that shopping scene, Ami was seen carrying two bags of snacks in different clothing, a hat, and sunglasses to hide something.

Just... What do you have planned?

Overall, this episode was pretty interesting. I didn't really laugh at any of the points except on Minori's note that was passed to Ryuuji. This episode was okay, since it was introducing a new character.

That's all I have to say this morning.
